LG Chocolate BL20 Mobile Phone Review

The inspiration for the LG Chocolate BL20 seems to come from both the BL40 and the original KG800 "Chocolate" phone that was launched in 2006.

The original KG800 was very much a classic in terms of design which was imitated by others in the market and launched LG into the mobile phone world.
LG Chocolate B120 mobile phone review

The LG Chocolate BL20 is very much a modern mobile phone with its 3G slider and support for HSDPA high-speed downloads. The phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera together with autofocus, a flash and Schneider Kreuznach optics, a 2.4" 320 x 240 pixel display, a multimedia player, FM radio, microSD expandable memory and Bluetooth.

In truth the phone is not radical in any new respects. The phone has basic specs that are standard for today's slider phones. Nevertheless, the glossy phone finish, the slim design and the hidden nav shortcut keys make this a very desirable phone.

The LG BL20 takes good photos with its 5 megapixel camera but the video camera is a very disappointing 320 x 240 pixels at 15 fps. Furthermore the LG BL20 does not have 3.5mm audio connector which means you will have to use a LG headset instead.

The BL20 dimensions are 107 x 51 x 12mm and it weighs 115 grams. You have 4 to 5 hours of talk time and about 12 to 24 days standby time, depending on network configuration. It's a dual-band UMTS 900 / 2100 MHz device with tri-band GSM support which varies depending on region.

The Chocolate LG BL20 price will be about £249 SIM-free which is about right for a phone like this. It is likely that this phone will be a popular Christmas gift.
